Outset Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Outset Wellness offers the Outset app, designed to enhance user well-being through personalized wellness plans. By accessing or using Outset, users agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the use of Outset and any related services provided by Outset Wellness.

2. User Accounts

  • Registration: Users must register for an account to access the full features of Outset.

  • Age Requirement: Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, users affirm they meet this age requirement.

  • Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and for all activities under their account.

  • Account Termination: Outset Wellness reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including accounts created by users below the required age.

3. Use of the Service

Outset is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Users must not misuse the service, including engaging in illegal activities, infringing on intellectual property, or disrupting the service's operation. Content uploaded by users should not violate any laws or rights of others.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content and trademarks related to Outset are owned by or licensed to Outset Wellness. Users grant Outset Wellness a license to use, modify, and distribute content they upload to the service, within the scope of providing and promoting the service.

 

5. Access to Calendars and Third-Party Apps

 

Calendar Access

  • Permission: Users grant Outset permission to access their calendar data. Outset will have read-only access to this data. 

  • Use: Outset will create a separate custom calendar on the user’s calendar of choice. Outset will only write to this custom calendar. Outset will never modify nor delete users’ events on any other calendar. 

  • Purpose: The access is for the sole purpose of determining user availability to suggest appropriate wellness activities. 

  • Data Handling: Outset will not store calendar data. Information is only read to ascertain free and busy times.

 

Third-Party App Integration

  • Supported Apps: Integration with third-party apps like Strava, Apple Health, Google Health, Fitbit, and similar.

  • Data Access: Outset will access data from these apps, subject to user granting explicit permission.

  • Consent Requirement: Users must provide explicit consent for Outset to read their data from these apps.

  • Use of Data: Data accessed will be used to enhance the personalization of the wellness plan.

  • Privacy Assurance: Outset Wellness commits to maintaining the privacy and security of data accessed from third-party apps.

 

6. Payments and Subscriptions

 

Summary

Outset offers various subscription plans. Fees and payment terms are outlined during the subscription process. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Refunds are subject to Outset Wellness's refund policy.

Subscriptions

  1. User may enjoy their first week for free, either through a 7-day trial or as the initial week of their chosen plan. Individuals who have a referral code may qualify for additional benefits, such as extended trials or discounts. The provision of referral codes and any associated discounts is entirely at Outset's discretion and may be retracted at any moment without prior notification or compensation. These codes are non-redeemable for monetary value.

  2. When selecting a subscription (be it weekly, monthly, or yearly), it's essential to choose the plan that best fits your needs. Various subscription levels unlock different features within Outset. Always ensure to select the subscription that aligns with your requirements.

  3. The pricing information provided is accurate as of the time it is published online. We reserve the authority to modify prices, introduce or remove special offers as necessary, without impacting existing subscriptions. All prices include VAT.

 

Purchasing a Subscription

  1. The subscription process is designed to guide you through your purchase, offering an opportunity to review and amend your selection before the final transaction. It is advisable to carefully check your order before completion.

  2. Should your subscription request be declined or not processed for any reason under standard conditions, no payment will be taken. In instances where payment has been made under such circumstances, a refund will be issued following the refund policy of the applicable payment providers.

  3. Once a purchase is made, the subscription cannot be altered until it reaches its expiration or renewal date.

 

Payments & refunds

  1. Payment for subscriptions is required at the moment of purchase, with the chosen payment method being charged immediately upon subscription confirmation.

  2. Auto-renewing subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; however, refunds are not provided, and access to Outset continues for the remainder of the current subscription period. To cease auto-renewal, visit the relevant "Manage Subscriptions" section within the app. While feedback on your cancellation reasons is welcome and may be used to improve Outset, providing this information is entirely optional.

  3. In certain, exceptional instances, we reserve the right to terminate your subscription and/or account. Should such action be necessary, you will be informed via email with an explanation.

  4. If your account is closed and your subscription terminated due to a breach of these Terms and Conditions, you will not be eligible for a refund. Should you believe your account and subscription were erroneously terminated, please contact us at info@outsetwellness.com.

  5. If your account is closed and/or your subscription is terminated for reasons other than a breach of terms, you will be eligible for a refund calculated based on the remaining period of your subscription. To obtain a refund, please contact us at info@outsetwellness.com.

Discounts & Affiliate Referral Codes

We also offer discounts and referral codes through our affiliates, which may be presented as either a code or a link. Eligible users can take advantage of these discounts/affiliate codes. Affiliates are responsible for disclosing promotional partnerships in accordance with relevant legal standards.

 

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Outset Wellness is committed to protecting user privacy. Details regarding the collection, use, and protection of user data are provided in the Privacy Policy. Outset Wellness complies with GDPR and other data protection laws.

 

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Outset is provided "as is" and "as available." Outset Wellness disclaims all warranties and limits its liability to the extent permitted by law. Users use the service at their own risk.

 

9. Changes to Terms and Termination

Outset Wellness reserves the right to modify these terms and the service. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms. Outset Wellness may terminate user access to the service for violations of these terms.

 

10. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by UK law. Any disputes related to these terms will be resolved through arbitration or in UK courts, as appropriate.
